The heads can be removed. Why do you have to take your off?

i dont want to replace them i just didn't think it sounded right when i heard a co-worker say it (sort of a know it all type) but i didn't know much about it myselfe... so heare i am....

i think he means while the motor is still in the car?:dunno: not sure if that would be possibl or not. sure seems it would be easyer to pull the motor

I've seen it done but I would prefer to pull the engine first. If you have the standard setup with bolts it's possible but with studs like most performance builds use there is no way.
