While doing a search on 4.6 4v last night I came upon this link. The article was written 13 November, so it seems current. However, when I saw the price for the setup I start thinking too good to be true. Can anyone verify the price? I can't imagine it being this low.

I know there were some issues with the aluminator and thrust washers, putting the crank too far rearward, and the dampener wore holes in the front cover.
Not sure if they fixed that but by now it has probably been fixed.

The picture and the text is wrong....
$6,700 is for the Aluminator long block without the supercharger, intake set-up, nor the front dress accessories.
They are mixing up long block with complete S/C'd crate engine.

lol, was gonna say, if that was correct it'd kinda make buying a supercharger it pointless for us...

4.6L DOHC ALUMINATOR LONG BLOCK SUPERCHARGED
M-6007-A46SC*

Why does your link also say supercharged then, if it is not?

There are two versions, one N/A M-6007-A46NA and the other S/CM-6007-A46 .

The S/C version has lower compression 8.5:1 vs the N/A with 10:1.

I emailed the author of the article for the part#, doubt I will get one, probably because it does not exist.

Gee that's an aweful big pulley on the end of that 2.3 twin screw. I know what I would do first thing! :D

Correct, motor is long block only. the SC is 8.4:1 and the NA is 10.25:1. Good motors, but do not come with the blower, intake or front drive. Is Terminator front cover, also. Still good deal considering all new parts.

Only complete engines they offer now with s/c are the GT500 motor for $16K and the same with the Eaton TVS for $18,150.

Joes's correct the description is wrong. The advert is for the Aluminator long block M-6007-A46SC (https://ssl111.webhosting.optonline.ne t/spartaperformance.com/merchantmanager/product_info.php?cPath=13_15&products_id=64), it's just dressed up in that picture with a blower and headers which are NOT included

I received an email from the editor of the SEMA atricle and here is his reply.

Thanks for the e-mail, unfortunately I guess I didn’t do my research. As you see the images were from SEMA, I got talking to a Ford Rep who give me the information on the engine set up, he told me the price was $6700 for the block with the supercharger but the price did not include the accessories on the block, a/c, etc.
As I’ve looked online I see that price appears to be for the engine itself. I’ve e-mailed the Ford Rep I talked to, so when I hear back I will pass details on to you! And fix the article!

Thanks again.

James Remley - Editor

I realize the price is still a looooooong shot, but at least his looking into it :)

The price for just the forged long block at 6700 for na or sc apps without supercharger is correct. Those of us that research the frpp catalog and drool know! :D great to see an editor that is honest and responsive too.
