Stopping in to introduce myself. I've got a 1999 MGM (maybe one day I'll have the pleasure of graduating to a MM), with 112,xxx on the odo. I've got some modest short term goals for it (gears, exhaust, MZT, ported intake, J-Mod) on a limited budget.

I do have some experience building motors but this is my first time really getting into an EFI car. Or a Ford for that matter. I'm generally a Bowtie guy but I like building heavyweights in general so my MGM will definitely fit that bill.

I've been lurking around these forums and another CV forum for quite a while trying to gather as much information about my new species of car build as I can so I can avoid asking the usual n00b questions about a new-to-me chassis. Nice to meet you guys and I will say thanks in advance for answers to any questions I may have in the future on my way to hopefully building a pretty hot MGM. :burnout:

Welcome to the site and good luck with the car.

I've been lurking around these forums and another CV forum If the other site isn't CrownVic.net, you're wasting time. Perfect source for the information you'll need for your project. Tons of tech on the 2V 4.6L V8 engine.

Thanks, guys. Yeah the other site actually is crownvic.net. Both sites offer a wealth of knowledge.

Welcome! With 112,xxx miles your car is just getting broken in. At my work place we have CVPI's with over 5,000 hours of idling and close to 110,000 miles they still go well.

Yeah I'm actually pretty impressed with how great the thing idles and how smooth it still runs. I'm pretty satisfied with the manufacturer switch I made. :)

Glad you're impressed with the quality of the recent "brand switch", and that you have joined the MM Forums.
