Is it just on initial startup, does it go away when the engine is warm, or is it continuous? Have you changed oil brands lately, etc.

Condensation or oil.

Condensation - it goes away after the exhaust sysem heats up.

Oil - if it's just on startup it's most likely normal.

Oil often has a blue tinge to it. Probably just water vapor

it only smokes on initial start up and goes away Wouldn't worry much about it then. Keep an eye on your fluid levels/colors.

Common "feature" on our MM's.

Your valve seals are munged. Get some Auto-Rx and clean and recondition your valve seals - I'll bet the smoke on startup goes away.

I take it you like how the Auto-RX worked. Testimolial? I have been looking for something like this but all the stuff on the store shelves look like snakeoil.

White:= could be coolant or condensation.

Blue: = oil.

Black:= engine rich mixture

Mine has been doing the same thing for about a year. I just had my valve seals replaced and now no smoke on start up and no oil smell any more. The Job pays like 11 hrs to do. Took my tech 16 hrs due to it was only his second time. Good luck. I had ford esp warranty that just ran out last month that was why I had the work done. We also noted oil buld up on two plugs when removed and the plugs only had 10k or less on them and six month old. I have also seen valve guide were on a few others and that would mean head work my inspection was fine but I have had the cooling head mod since 6k and now I am at 55k. Russ

Hey Eric! I can't say wether the product works or not because I have never used it in a before and after scenario with the valve covers taken off, BUT, I do know some photography and photo editiing. They did add yellow tint to the pictures. You can actually see parts of the engine outside of the covers that are tinted in the before pic and not in the after. :D Not saying it doesn't work mind you! Hell, I might embelish pics if I had a good product! HIJACK!

Mine has done it for 5+ years...off & on!!!:argue:

I used to think it was temperature related but over time I found that ain't the key??:shake:

Someone else mentioned starting it cold and turning it off in the first couple of minutes causes the next start to SMOKE......YES IT DOES....BIG TIME!!!! ALL six of my CV's did this too!!!;)

Funny thing lately....I went back to 5W20 Mobil I from 5W30 and it smoked on cold start almost every time for a month or more......3K miles on the changeover and it HAS NOT PUFFED ONCE in the last week or two???

MUST BE GETTIN' READY TO BLOW UP!!!!

Mine belched blue smoke out the left bank on startup from 13k until I had the left head replaced at 20k. Thank God for ESP. However, it seems I was extremely lucky to find a dealer who cared enough to correct this common problem with the Marauder. Since the head replacement, no oil usage, and no blue smoke. Mine does some white when it's cold outside until it warms up. I figure that's normal.

It is one of the VERY few miracles-in-a-can that actually does what it claims, with no down side. It does require strict adherence to the instructions, though. Use it with no worries.
