its been mounted but i cleaned off all the double sided tape and its ready to get painted and mounted

They should be mounted with 3 bolts and the adhesive.

The original OEM's use 4 bolts and 2 way tape.

On my 03 the owner had just taped it onto the trunk with the 3M body molding tape. When I put it on my 04 I drilled the holes too. It was too easy to pull off of the 03.
