View Full Version : Tire Rack has NO 17" steelies for MM!

I corresponded with them twice ove the last two weeks, and here is their response(similar both times):

"Unfortunately due to the larger brakes on the Marauder, there are no steel wheels that will clear the calipers"

Are they correct? I thought any Crown Vic or Grand Marquis wheel 2003-on, or Mustang GT(or Shelby etc) 2005-on would fit. I thought the only trick for these cars is getting the tire height right.

Not that i know of. Buncha rauder guys running CVPI steelies.

LOL I am pretty sure that any 2003+ panther has the same front brakes. There are people running 16s on these cars. even though they look dorky, they will fit.

I run 16" steelies with no issues. There is about an 1/8" clearance between the rim and the caliper. Here are my sizes, they are super close to the height of the originals.


215/65/16 front 225/70/16 rear. Michelin lattitude x-ice

i used to run 16s in the winter when i had chrome wheels. but now i have baers and powdercoated wheels so theres no need!

yup used to use the same sizes. no abs or tc issues

I'm running 17 inch steelies with no issues, they are the same as the ones I have on the 06 Town Car
