It is usually the latch squeaking. You can grease it every couple of weeks or buy some rubber hood bumpers from the dealer like most members here have done. OEM part# N804384 S they will maybe run you like $6 from the dealer.

Lots of info here on hood squeaks. Has never been described as a "rattle" before. Think we need more info or a better description to help you. Did you check for loose stuff under the hood? Are you sure that this is not an "engine rattle" or pinging?? You are using 91 Octane or better right?

Just an afterthought, check to see if the long plastic cover forward of the radiator is snugged down with the fasteners.

Dude, your description is so vague, and there are so many things it could be...you really need to have a friend with mechanical knowledge go for a ride-along.

Well there's nothin wrong with the engine at all, Its just something loose that i will have to find under the hood, and i dont think its the hood latch either, but the car drives perfect so i will take it to the crest dealership

When you hear the noise pop the hood release (don't worry the hood won't fly open) and see if the noise stops.
