Hi you doing all?
I have about 37000 miles,
Just wondering how many of you guys have the car tilted down more to the right than left. Is not noticeable but if you really look at it you could see the car down on the passenger side. Why? Every time I see my MM I feel that the ride side of the body more tilted down than the other. Is it shocks or springs or maybe the Air ride. And oh yaa every time I start my car I hear compressor airing up I think. And every time I have someone sitting on the passenger seat the air ride compressor turns on for second and it gose a way. And every time I turn off my car as am leaving my car I hear pssssssssssssssssssssssss like air release is that normal with air ride MM? Please HELP!

lol, drunk isn't an excuse bro, ask a serious lucid question and get a serious lucid answer.

That being said, one of your air springs could be damaged, the line leading to it may have a leak. You'll have to check it or get it checked. The system is actually quite simple for the most part, just gotta dig in and read around about the air suspension a bit. It's a psuedo-common problem that's been discussed on the site quite a bit, particularly lately from what I've seen (I guess the age of the cars are finally catching up?)

Or you could do what I did and replace the air springs with conventional coils. ;)

Which springs did you replace them with and what was the cost? Did you change the shocks out as well?

kept original shocks, replaced springs with a kit from Suncore Industries, heavy duty spring option. It was something like $170 bucks for the kit with a discount I think.

Build quality. Measure from the ground to the center of each wheel arch, with the car running and report back. My car has 1/2" deviation side to side up front and in the back. Not much you can do about it, just the way these cars were put together. If you go around and measure other Marauders I'm sure you'll find similar differences, most people just don't notice or care though. I am very picky and it bothers me but there isn't an easy or effective fix. I did change out rear air bags one at a time from a group of used air bags to get the rear trimmed closer but there is no independent rear ride height side to side so that is not easily adjusted either.

For reference of my insanity, my 04 Taurus had 1/2" deviation side to side in the rear, and I cut the notch off of the strut that sets the "Default" ride height and slide one of the struts in the knuckle (macpherson strut) and kept re checking until I got it level. Can't do that on the MM though.

It is common for one side to sit lower then the other in the rear due to 1 sensor for both air bags. The best way to determine if it's a small issue or a big problem remove all the air from the system. You can do this by putting the rear of the car on ramps or over a pit, turn off the air ride switch , remove the ride height adjuster bar from the bracket after a few seconds the system will deflate the air bags totally, once that happens reconnect the ride height adjuster bar, turn the switch back on and start the car.
