Hi, a few years back I bought standard CV steel wheels and the Mercury center cap with the special lug nuts that allow the cap to snap on for my winter tires.

I lost a couple of the nuts :mad2: and now I can't put on one of caps.

I know I've given such great detail :hmmm:, but can anyone tell me the part number for those nuts so I can order some up?

Also, does any one know if it is a complete custom nut (ie. can't buy it at Canadian Tire). Thanks!!!

Rockauto.com has them. Go to Ford --> Crown Victoria --> whatever year --> Wheel --> Lug Nut

Ford p/n is 6W7Z-1012-DA (for a single lug nut) for the open end lug nut that allows the full wheel cover to be put on and plastic lugs screw on to the end of the lug nut to hold the wheel cover on.

All the local parts stores I went didn't have any sets that would work and would have to be special ordered.

hmmm....no...the center cap literally snaps on. The image is close but I think its shorter. I'll try to upload a picture of what I have.

fyi, some rangers use the same lug. got mine from a junk yard for next to nothing

Can someone tell me the differance between 6W7Z-1012-DA and 6W7Z-1012-CA? My dealer had the CA which worked fine but DA was suggested earlier in this thread.:confused:

This is what 6W7Z-1012-DA looks like. It's used for the FULL wheel cover. As the treads on the outside allow the plastic lug screw on the full wheel cover to screw on to these lug nuts.

This is 6W7Z-1012-CA which can be used for no cover or the center hub cover.
