Well i took my car to Sears today and the redone my alignment. Can you guys help me confirm if i have the spec right?
I told the person to follow the carfixer note that u gays provieded me this what he done:
Front Left Camber -0.9'
Front Left Caster 5.6'
Front Left Toe -0.01
---------------------------------
Right Left Camber -1.0
Right Left Caster 5.9
Right Left Toe 0.01
---------------------------------
FRONT
Cross Camber 0.1
Cross Caster -0.3
Cross SAI -0.1
Totall Toe 0.00

After the Alignment as i was walking to pick up my keys the person told me nice grand marquis. those fu**r's thought that i was driving a grand marquis and he told me that the MM have same spec as the grand marquis . wtf

I spoke to carfixer on this site and he recommended these. Said he got the best tire wear.
For best tire wear, here is what I use on all MM alignments:
Camber: -.3 to -.5 degrees.
Toe: Zero degrees.
Caster: 5-6.5 degrees positive with .3 degree lead on the right side.

caster is fine. The absolute values are not as important as the difference between them. The car will lead to the side with the lower caster #. Having slightly more caster on the pass side should feel pretty neutral on a crowned road.

The -1.0'ish camber will be good for performance but probably still not great for tire wear. But the toe was more important to correct and they got that straightened out. Would I be happy with it? Nope. Will it be good enough to drive on if you are not concerned about getting the last few miles out of your front tires? Yep

do a search for alignment flag removal, you will probably have to remove them yourself before any alignment shop can get the camber dialed in better

I had mine set to those specs above I had listed. I put new tires on as well that day. I don't notice any pull at all. Seems to be fine. I would recommend the best tire aligner in your area. I was told to look for the same thing hear. After talking to different repair shops around town and even the local ford dealership I found who I was looking for. It was just a local mom and pop shop but they had all the high tech computer equipment for the alignment. Also had some new tire balancer (10K cost) that simulates the road to find any highspots in the tires to make sure tire doesn't need to spun on rim. They did a great job. Ford even takes their performance cars to them. Good luck!

Yes. You can clearly see the spot welds that need to be removed. My SVT dealer wouldn't remove them, and told me I'd need some 'camber extensions' to get it aligned properly. I have since obtained a new SVT dealer.

If they aligned your car to Gran Marquis specs, they probably torqued everything to those specs as well. Which is WRONG. The bolts will loosen off if they did. You'll be driving all wobbly in a couple weeks.

Um no. You are gonna confuse the poor guy, this is incorrect. 2003+ grand marquis has the same torque specs as a Marauder.

I don't mean to confuse him. Heaven knows how jumbled his post could get then!

The manual states that for a 21mm nut on the Lower control arm bushing, the spec is 129 lb/ft. But on the 24mm nut, it's 148 lb/ft. IIRC, the Marauder is a 24mm nut, all others (GM, CV) are 21mm.

As others have experienced over the years, when they took their cars in for alignment, the mechanic probably didn't check any spec and their car started driving badly soon after as the nuts backed off. Aluminum is picky that way.
