My Marauder does not heat. Blows air, but no heat. Having premium care-no deductible. When the dealer checked it, it was blowing warm air. Claimed that the antifreeze cap was slightly open and must have sucked in air and that is the reason it did not heat. When the car was parked outside and started again, no warm air was coming through. And when the air was pushed through the vent, hardly any came through. Parked the car outside. A couple of hours later, after a few minutes it reached operating temperature, but no heat. A few minutes later still no heat, but the car started to overheat.
What is the problem? Not likely that fuse, but is it a thermostat, blend door, or both and may be something else?
Had a brake job done by Varsity Lincoln-Mercury(Novi, MI). Even though there was not anything wrong with the brakes, just changed tires and they claimed that around 50000 miles if I want to keep the car it pays to do it the dame time. After putting in new rotors calipers, etc. the brake pedal had long travel and was spongy. They claimed that the brake is O.K. and will work itself in. What they did not say that they put in Chinese soured parts for OEM prices. The emergency brake went down all the way to the floor and did not hold in reverse. The mechanic claimed that he cannot adjust further, he would stretch the cable too much, it will adjust itself. Another dealer in Luddinton, MI replaced the brake fluid for $ 100,but of course that did not help either. Went back to Varsity they claimed everything is fine. The ford dealer claimed that prem. Care covers only the cables not the brake shoes, also adjustments are not covered. Bought three brake shoes at a third of ford price and had Midas to pit it in.They charged for a 45 minutes job 2 hrs or 200 dollars according to the book. They said that Varsity put back one of the brake shoes reverse and that is why the cable stretched, it is not their problem. Went back to ford. The dealer claimed there is nothing wrong with the emerg. cable ,it does not hang and adjustments are nor covered, Even though that the whole problem was created by Varsity and neither brakes were having any problems before Varsity touched them?
What the point having bumper to bumper premium care if repairs like the above ignored?
What are the problems? Any suggestion what to do?
