Manages to run into a car parked by itself with 2 empty spaces on either side of it? They managed to push the corner of my back bumper in enough to pop off a saucer-sized portion of paint, before making their cowardly escape. And, of course, no one saw anything. I wish I had come out of the store about a minute earlier. On the plus, side, the cover doesn't look torn, but it's very ugly and will have to be repainted, at least.:mad2:

The same kind of person who sc***** their right front bumper along the lower panels of my left hand doors in a parking lot when my MM too was sitting by itself without cars parked next to it. $1400 to fix. No note no nothing.

Camera's? That sucks man.
That's why I don't take my marauder to malls, grocery stores, movie's etc. etc.
Most people are inconciderate a••holes.
People make fun of me for this all the time. But there's a reason why my marauder dosent have any dents, scratches, or dings.
Hope it isn't too expensive to repair.

Man that sux, I always park WAAAY out in the parking lot, I don't care if it is raining or whatever else. I would much rather have 20 empty spaces around me.
People who have the b**ls to leave without saying anything are no better than thieves..

Frickin' idiots. :mad2: Over the past several years, I have noticed more and more people cutting between cars in parking lots. They are just too f'n lazy to go up and down the lanes and use open spaces as their own private shortcuts to the spaces closest to the door.
I can't count the number of times that a car has come out between parked cars and headed toward the exit without regard for traffic using the lanes between the rows. :shake: I think this practice has resulted in more accidents in parking lots and potential damage to parked cars. With the holiday shopping season upon us, there is even more potential to get hit or side-swiped by someone rushing to get that "prime" parking spot.
Anyone who would hit a parked car and leave without a note or sticking around to advise the owner is about the lowest lifeform that there is on the planet. :censor: Of course, it is completely in line with the Don't Take Responsibility for anything mentality that is so prevalent anymore.
I had a woman in a minivan smack my door when she opened hers. I was standing right there when it happened and she denied it. Guess I didn't see what I saw.

Thanks for all the support. Unfortunatly, I was on the side of the building where there are no cameras. I asked around at a couple of adjacent businesses and no one saw anything. Fortunately, the bumper cover doesn't look torn. I'm guessing there is foam or something in there that needs to be replaced. I was thinking about just removing the cover and having it re-painted, but I talked to the insurance guy and he says they can process it as an "uninsured motorist" claim. I'm just hoping it won't raise my rates, but they like to look for any reason to do it. Anyway, It could have been worse. I just hope nothing else happens. My last car, someone backed into me and scuffed the bumper. They tried to get away but DID get caught by a camera. After I eventually got the bumper repainted and a week later, someone else backed into it in the SAME PLACE! I just lived with the scuff after that.

That's not true we took your car to Columbia Mall before lol. But parked on the 3rd level where there was only a handful of cars anyways.
Took up 2 parking spaces too and that level was empty. :D
And if i recall YOU were driving not me. :baaa:

Not to defend mall cutter acrossers but if the idiots who design mall parking lots did a better job on traffic flow people wouldn't need to cut through to get to an exit.
Sorry to hear about your car. Hope it gets fixed better than new.
Doomie..... be real careful about taking up two or more spaces especially if the lots are full. Up here in NJ if you do that you might as well plan on getting the car repainted because someone will key it for sure.

I can see it now. I've had a few claims like this and never had a problem with State Farm raising rates. Hope you get her fixed up fast.

Read the post over Charlie. Apparently malls in Va are all laid out for good traffic flow but up here I think they let kindergarten kids lay out the parking lots.

Yep when it came to LOVE, FIR, Adams Morgan, or the metro station to dc from alexandria I always took the mazda. I bought the car in texas and was good driving 3 months there. I got it off the car carrier @ dulles and it got rear ended the 1st time like 2 blocks away sitting in a left turn lane waiting for an arrow. 2nd time on 295 cause someone felt like beating their kid wild driving in stop in go traffic was fun.

I think they do it on purpose to try to slow traffic down. They make everything super narrow, and throw as many speed humps and nonsensical stop signs at you. Then, when it's busy, it just becomes a cluster****.
