Radio buzzing

I upgraded to Infinity reference series a while back leaving the factory sub woofer and factory head unit . Recently I've picked up a buzzing sound and found that it is coming from the sub .
My inclination is a bad ground or noise suppression item .
Has anyone had a similar experience . Any input would be appreciated .
