Well taking the tranny to a local shop today. A friend of mine with a 500 rwhp 69 Camaro recommended this guy and I know he has also built several local racers transmissions.
Going to drop it all off and see what the damage will be. Hopefully it is only a soft rebuild and I can get out a little cheaper than I expected. I am asking that he use the Red or Blue clutches instead of the stock replacement. Should only run about an extra $100-$150 for these better parts.

Thanks, we will see how this works out. At least when I get back from Mass my car will have a Christmas present waiting for it.

We will Landy. David is going to help me pull the motor this weekend. The guy at the shop asked if he could take a few more days so he could take another big dollar job. I'm in no rush as I have other work to do so I said to take his time. Should be done next week.

Well got the transmission back today, it is sitting in the G35s trunk waiting to go home. Paul was great and it only cost $500 for the soft rebuild.
Did find out my current TC is a single disk and now I need to ponder if I have the funds to upgrade to a triple.
Motor came out this weekend also and sitting on the engine stand waiting for my gaskets to get here in the mail. I expect 2-3 weeks and she will be on the road again.
Yet more stuff I need to order from the dealer and Summit so I'm still a little ways off from completing this project.
