Just wondering what works best for keeping our seats looking "NEW"?
My car is garage kept and i have 10% tint to keep the :sunshine: out!
Right now my seats are in excellent shape! All i have been using since i had the car is MEGUIARS GOLD CLASS leather wipes.
Seems to work fine so far for me, just wondering if there is anything better out there?
What do you guys prefer?

With the white stitching in the seats most leather conditioners would turn them yellow. I just use mild soap & water.

Over time yes it will. You need a cleaner first then a conditioner.

I use Griots Garage products on my cars for everything but the leather care. And for that, I also use Zaino. I love the stuff.

MEGUIARS GOLD CLASS wipes and lotion stuff...I will put the lotion stuff on the seats thick as hell and leave it on overnight. then wipe it off with the wipes in the morning. My family gives me crap about my car seats being "greasy", but the leather eventually soaks in all up.

Lexol
It goes on easy and wipes away easy; not greasy; rich leather scent; long-lasting.

Lexol is the stuff for the King Ranch just relabeled or rebottled for Ford. Only stuff I have used for years but wouldn't mind trying the Zaino's. I have always heard good things about their products.

It seems like I read somewhere our seats have a "clear coat" sealer and that nothing more than a damp rag would be needed to clean and condition them. I could be wrong.

This was my understanding also...

a simple damp rag/soapy water will work best to clean the seats.

I've used quite a lot of leather cleaning and conditioning products throughout the years, Lexol, Connolly Hide Food, Autoglym, Mequiar's

Been using this product for a while, works, easy to use, excellent results, comes in a cleaner and conditioner kit, with everything you need, or separately.

I see high regards for Zaino products, and having never used any of their products I think I will probably give them a try. Anything other than the Z-9, and the Z-10 required?

I was hanging out at the parts department of my local dealer one day and noticed they had a Ford leather cleaning/conditioning kit. They offered me a good deal on it because it was just collecting dust. I've been using that for roughly a year. The kit comes with a bottle of stuff and a sponge. Just dampen the sponge with water and add a bit of the conditioner, rub it on, then buff off with a towel.

If anyone's interested I'll try to dig up the box with the proper name/Ford part #.

In the owners manual it does say this.. I have used the lexol clean and then condition. Leather will still need something to prevent it from drying and cracking. does anyone remember when their seats didn't have all the crease lines? :coolman:

My dad use to make leather belts and other things as a hobby and he always used saddle soap as the cleaner and Neet's foot oil for the conditioner. I have used the stuff and have been happy with the results. You can get it online or at tractor supply. Of course the leather on the seats is different from the leather he was using but it still works and looks good.

I put the conditioner on about 6 times a year. The creases are inexcapable, so I boutht new seat covers while they are still available. By 150000 miles I will switch out new for old.
