I read Hot Rod magazine a month or two ago and the winner ran 7.3 seconds or close to it. He didn't change the tires, use a trailer or drove it a smaller distance than most of the racers.
Looking at the other cars, some of them broke their transmissions, had fires or even had major engine problems. The other "losers" looked like they cost 1/4 of the money that the "winner" did.
The fastest street car comes down to two things I realized. It's not what products you buy, who you know, who's in your crew or your set up. It all about who has the biggest wallet and the best luck, especially the wallet.
The end.
