I found a thread from last April about twin turbos. I wonder if anyone is perusing this. There was a link (http://www.inductionconcepts.com/Mustang03Cobra.asp) in the other thread. I followed it. They make a twin turbo kit for the '03 Cobra. I've e-mailed them asking about a Marauder turbo solution. I'll post the response.

Am I the only one interested in this?

I don't know Tom...but ALL the guys at Team Ford were going on and on today about the turbo Marauder that spent 2 days there this week on their Dyno.

They said it had duel/flush electric fans in place of the stocker with a HUGE blower fitted in front of the engine, beefy cams, ported and polished heads, annodized black wheels, 6-piston Wilwood calipers on 14 inch rotors front & rear, no trunk key hole...but a video camera that went with a 7" screen...and they said once it gets the exhaust done (from the same guy who just did mine, BTW) it will do 550 RWHP.

This car is supposed to be 1 of 10 being made from a guy somewhere between ATL and Greenville, SC. AND...it is going to be back on the 15th for the dyno-tune so all that are coming can see it.

I'm also pursuing this but I'm moving very slowly and methodical.
Double checking what I truely want in power delivery I'm checking the T03 Garret the same thats on the GN's and Ty/Sy's
or the T4 thats on the WRX as I don't need monster T66's in order to acheive my 500 to 600+ RWHP #'s should see 11's on a daily basis. The rest of what I'm doing is in my sig.

Todd, this shop is right around the corner from my house in Duluth. They are doing 12 MMs with forged internals, Turbos and video gear. I dont know who they are for and the shop wont say....;) but you figure they are spending about $500K for the cars and the mods......

why all the secrecy? You'd think a vendor would want the publicity.

So...go find out the skinny...Kenny. :D

I'm just looking forward to seeing it on the 15th, but any info you can find out between now and then, I'm sure, will be appreciated by the folks here

Here was the response from Induction Concepts:

Hey Tom. We've had a couple of requests for the Marauder, but not enough to warrant development of a kit, sorry. I agree, it would make a great application.

Yes, the motors are very close, but it's the engine compartments that are different...and each of our kits is specific to the cars/engine compartment and their engines. There is so little room to work with, it must be very precise.

so it would seem that Wilwood is making a rotor and/or caliper that will fit. I sent them an email to see what they have.

I've been trading e-mails with a guy from Induction Concepts. He likes the idea of a turbo MM, but the demand isn't enough to warrant prototyping a kit. I can't blame him, I'm sure there's a hefty cost involved!

So,... my question is this:

How many out there would be willing to fork over the dough to buy a twin turbo?

perhaps I should create a poll?

I've already talked to them, they wont disclose any information. To me, this kind of money sounds like a Columiban connection....

ok,.. then all you have to do is sneak in at night and plant a few covert video cameras with audio feed.

hmmm ...[bad thought]... are they by any chance Arab males between the ages of 15-45?

Absolutely not....studios don't waste this kind of money on movie cars. Just look at all the junk they used in the Fast and Furious movies. All mostly stock cars with some graphics. I especially like the Mopar with the blower taped onto the hood.

I'll comment on the brakes some for those who are not in the know. I've mentioned this in my posts on my current kits available.

There are new Wilwood rotors and calipers coming out shortly which will support the 14" size. They are not out yet that I know of however. The fit of a current caliper from WW on a 14" rotor will not fit well at all, the pad will overhang the radius of the rotor by about 3/8" or so. A current WW caliper can be pushed to about 13.2" max for this reason.

They will be radial mount, booted and there is an optional up grade to six piston set ups. By my estimation and what I know of it to date, they will NOT fit the stock wheel without spacers.

The rotors only became available as of recently and the caliper will not be out for a while yet.

Interestingly enough, the proposed project mentioned here sounds a lot
like one I am involved with. If someone has solid photos or info on this I'd certainly like to hear of it.
