Hi guys in the chicago land area,
Any shop in the chicago land area to get my 4.10 gears installed? I called Ford Dealer there were asking about $700 to get them installed. I was wondering any one of you guys know any Ford performance shope i could go to.
I have my own parts with tuner, i just need the labor to be done.
I am willing to drive 50 miles.
:coolman:
thats about what its gona cost you, i am sure they are including the cost of new bearings & seals for the posi & axles, common practice is to replace everything when you tear it down to put the gears in.
as for a good shop to do the work, C and M automotive performance in Hubertis WI, although the drive would be bit more than 50 miles for you.

Th owner is a member of the local SVTOA club
his shop caters to a lot of local road racers (mostly Mustangs)
FWIW- I do believe they started doing roll cage's this last year too.

Speed Inc. in Schaumburg and Deans Performance.
CRE also is one of the most BAMFs for gear installs around here.

You have a PM, but you already said all is well.
Be sure they include the price of the install kit and oil.

You have the right price. Anywhere else would be $500+ even where Zack goes to get his work done, but that is at a dealership I believe.
I am sure the cost Al gave you includes the install kit and oil. If it doesn't it should run you around another $50 or $75 at the most.
He did my work and I set record times for myself after. He knows his stuff and is a good man.
