No Brakes

I took my calipers off my Marauder to paint them and once I got everything back together and bleed the brakes I still had no brakes. My peddle would get hard but as soon as I crank my car up I wouldnt have any brakes. Anyone have a solution for me?

By "took my calipers off" do you mean you disconnected the brake lines?

You still have an air pocket in the brake lines someplace. When you removed the caliper did you clamp the hoses? If not and the master ran dry then you must bleed the entire system including the rear.

Gotta bleed it all, including the ABS pump. If air is in the ABS system you'll have to have a them pressure bled. I think there is a machine they hook up that reverse bleeds the brake system, forcing fluid from the calipers through the abs pump and up to the master cylinder.

Yeah we did bleed the brakes, we took the brake line alose and clamped them. We've been trying for the last 2 days to bleed them but nothings changed. My friend said he's starting to think something is wrong with my abs pump. Does anyone know what I might have done that would make the abs pump go out?

If you let the master cylinder run dry when bleeding you will have to have someone with a scan tool bleed the ABS.

abs service bleed- there are 4 solenoids in the abs unit that can hold fluid pressure or can release it. Just like in normal service brake air can be compressed which will give a soft unresponsive pedal, brake fluid can't be compressed. Same theory of operation for the abs system. You can't physically gain access to the solenoids so you use a scan tool to actuate the solenoids to push the air out of the abs unit and into the service brake then you can perform a normal brake bleed and all the air is removed.

If you replaced the master cylinder and properly bench bleed it, calipers or wheel cylinder you shouldn't have to perform a abs service bleed only a service brake bleed.

sevennone4th if you you have a hard pedal with the car off but it sinks a little with the engine running you my be feeling the vacuum assist from the brake booster. I assume you have the vehicle in the air can you have someone step on the brakes and see if you can spin the tires?

Naw Greenville SC, I wish I was located in Ohio I really need help. My car has been down since Wed. Its like I'm paralyzed without it. Lol
