This next summer I am looking to replace my stock CVLX rims and tires. I currently have 16" stock CV 5 spoke rims and Pirelli Zero Nero 255/60 for my summer tires. I would like to upgrade to American Racing Phantom rims 17" in front and 18" in the rear.

My first question would be is increasing the rims bigger going to effect my car at all as far as the ABS/TC are concerned?

Second question is what would be a good lower profile tire to go with the rims?

Here is the link to the American Racing rims..

Why not go 18's all around with a set of 255/45/18 tires and call it a day. It would be best if you have a tuner to input the new tire size.

You do have to keep the same size diameter tires to keep the ABS & Traction control happy.
I put 245 50 16 on the LSE, they made a big difference in the steering and handling dept.
I wished I had planned better on the winter tires though.
If I had a 2003+ Panther I would put Marauder wheels on it! :P

I like my Sport Appearance Package 17" rims with Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position 235/50R17 the most. Excellent gripping every day tires with good feedback. Nice balance of handling and pothole absorption.

Still trying to figure out the best combination available for the Marauder. Not many good tires available in the sizes needed to keep traction control.

um, the only cvlx 5 spoke rim is a 17", not a 16"
