hey guys, wondering if any of you have experience in polishing plexiglass. i need too polish some canopies that have a lot of light scratched in them. doing it by hand is proving futile.

I have used the Novus "system" many times with near-perfect results, on all types of plastic -- including Lexan.

Yes, it is suggested that a buffer (or wheel) be used.

i havent done much buffing before. you mean with a rotary buffer and not a dual action/ orbital type right? what pad should be used?

I prefer to use an orbital buffer with a cotton/terry head. The chemical has the abrasive in it, all you are really doing is applying it.

It's not sold in stores, it's more of a comercial/trade product for detailers, dealers, etc.

The photo doesn't do them justice, but I use Novus #1 (as a protectant) periodically on the Crown Vic headlights, which is always out in direct sun, and they are still clear as the day they rolled off the assembly line.
