If the Marauder was equipped with the 335 HP 2V M90 supercharged from the factory, would you have left it alone?
May not have bought it, the 4V is what sold me not the 2V. Maybe a 3V. But that wasn't offered then.
Depends on the performance of the S/C from the factory, so many times they come with their own set of limitations, like gearing, suspension, tune, guages, brakes, drive shafts. widened wheels, tires. These are things we modded on the present model, supercharged or not.
So, to answer your question, yes I would modifiy it with "bolt-on's" as needed.

Even if it was offered with the Shelby blown 5.4 DOHC motor, I would still have not left it alone.

if it really was an M90, that's a pretty weak blower for a v8, so yeah it would still have needed mega help

it probably woulda been faster than our cars in stock form.... yes its a 2v but its also a 335hp 2v with a nissan micro for a blower, the off the line torque would be way stronger....
But no i would not be leaving that alone

Stock blows goats...
Of course, it would've sucked only having only 335 with a Supercharger, it would match the 5.7 respectively in HP but it would've been a waste unless you get a aftermarket pulley and some other goodies.

Like the old saying goes: If a little is good, more is better.
I'd prolly done some tweaking, 335hp out of a S/C'd engine is kinda wimpy.

Its 96hp more than a stock panther 2v, keep that in mind

True. Just used to looking at 4V numbers I guess.

It's what Roush uses on it's supercharged Mustangs. Coincidentally, that's who developed the concept car's motor package.
That being said, I would've messed with it. Small pulley, CAI and exhaust would be almost manditory.

I've seen modded M90's deep into the twelves so there is potential there.
Thanks for all the responses.

335 HP is only 30 HP more than the stock Marauder and alot more stuff to go wrong. It has to have more torque to make it worthwile.
The horespower is good but the torque stinks on my stock Marauder.
(My first car was a Big Block 60s unibody Merc-290 Ft-lb of torque with 315 HP and 3500lb car. It could throw the passengers back into their seats at any speed.)
The Marauder is a 4000 pound car.

The 32 valve mod motor really makes the car. It is a limited production engine used in Cobras, Mach 1s and the Nav. The Marauder would not be the same car without the 4v regardless if it came with a SC 2v. You can do alot more with a 4v then a 2v for the same money. The 4v is a much better platform to work on and is much better for SC mods then a 2v.

Plenty of 2V's that would hand you your arse on the track Glenn.
However, I do not disagree with the other points, I like the long legs of the 4V

Sorry I don`t,This was when I had my LX Sport and I was invited by Ford to hang out in Mustang ally at the Woodward Dream Cruise in 2002.The three Marauders you see all had MFG. plates on them but that one was the only one to have it`s hood up.In all I think there was 3Marauders,3 Kenny Brown Panthers,Liquids black LX,A 4V Crown Vic prototype and a white Crown Vic from CVN.Maybe not the first Panther line up but the first at a Dream cruise.

So, how exactly are these 32v engines drastically different?
Maybe your just saying that the marauder engine, which is the exact same long block as the aviator and mach 1 w/ automatic transmission... is just crappier?
In essence its all the same motor, with revisions throughout the years

The "SAME AS" list is much shorter now.
