Well i changed my fuel filter, and my check engine light came out?
Took it to autozone to read the check engine light it say that my 4th cyl is not firing up right , and fuel leak??? so i changed it with all new motercraft spark plugs. I took a look in the back of my trunk to restart my fuel button, the button dose not push down is that normal? No movment on the fuel button, is like it's already pushed in??? i tryed my best to hit it, still the Red button sucked in? dose your fuel button look like mine?

All this happend after i changed my fule filter

You can't push the button unless some kind of shock caused it to pop. It's a fuel cut off for the entire system

Geez...

The CEL came on because you changed the fuel filter and didn't prime the system afterward. You need to turn the key on & off several times without starting the car in order to get fuel pumped into the filter before starting the car.

You changed plugs, did you do any research on how to do it right? Lots of people have done that and a few weeks later a plug blew out of the head resulting in expensive repairs.

Change plugs only on a COLD engine. Aluminum & steel expand at different rates, a hot engine can cause the plug threads to sieze with the head threads.
Apply a very small amount of anti-sieze on the threads. Aluminum and steel surfaces can corrode and sieze, so the next time you change plugs the threads may get stripped.
Torque the plugs to approximately 10 ft-lb. Over-tightening can strip the threads, under-tightening and they'll blow out due to cylinder pressure & vibration loosening.

pull the plugs on a cold engine brush a little anti-seize on the threads of the plugs and use a Torque wrench 10 ft-lb like FordNut said.

You can use moter craft spark plugs (translation: Motorcraft spark plugs).

There's a saying about putting good money after bad, and there's one about throwing money and parts at a problem hoping it will go away. Both apply here.

What I mean to say is, if you change a fuel filter, and the car starts running WORSE, the problem is most likely that you installed the fuel filter incorrectly. Not that the spark plugs (which assumedly were fine prior to the fuel filter install) miraculously failed during that time.

Stop dicking around with the plugs, prime your fuel system, disconnect the battery (to reset the computer), wait, reconnect the battery, hope for the best.

In the future:
Do one thing, make sure it works.
If it doesn't work, fix it until it works.
THEN go on to the next problem.

Just use a tiny bit of anti-sieze in the threads. If it gets on the electrodes it will foul the plugs.

fyi !
I use to drive toyota GTS & Supra's which u never lay a hand on. 4th place drifter at Adams Motorsports Park Riverside, ca. So check your self before u comment. You still can't change a fuel filter...or your own oil (http://mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58818)...so I don't really see why I need to check myself.

Furthermore, I was responding to this:

Sounds like his first car.

Just wondring i never had a chance to anti sieze my spark plugs... can i waite till the summer or couple week from now??Proper spark-plug torque is more important than whether anti-seize was used. The factory doesn't use anti-seize so as long as you are sure you torqued them correctly, don't worry about it.

Who in their right mind would "hand tighten" spark plugs??????

You don't even "hand tighten" them in a lawn mower.......

That's how I do mine, and it's worked great, 10 ft/lbs is not that hard to estimate. All the engine builders I know do it the same way too.
