How labor intensive?

How difficult is it to put front springs in the Marauder? If I decide to pay, since I do not have a spring compressor, how much should I expect to pay?

I know I will need an alignment after, no concern with that.

Check with FLAPS in your area. If you take them out they might have a spring compressor and swap out the struts for you, or some FLAPS may rent the compressor. You can also pickup a decent one at Harbor Freight.

its not difficult. maybe a bit time consuming depending on condition of hardware. (rusty, corroded....) the ford dealership i work at would charge 2 hrs labour. our rate is 92.50/hr

I would buy one, but not sure I will doingthat much spring work to warrant that.

Also, that was a quick response. The second week of January should be good. New rear sway bar, eibach install and adjust the rear height. It will handle better.

its not really hard at all to do, just gotta be careful when playing with those springs.

I did springs and struts on my SHO, but I also had all the other tools available. Those tools are not available any more ...
If I can find someone close by that has them, I might do it myself, but if I is only 2 hours labor ...

Changing out the front spring on the coil over shocks is not a difficult task. You need to use caution when removing the springs. If not aware of process go to a library get a manual and read up. You can rent a spring compressor at Auto zone. Give yourself 2.5-4.hours.

Most FLAPS will rent you spring compressors for free. I average 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
