ok details do tell! CR, re using your heads; head work..options..etc. Also, make sure you specify Diamond pistons/speed pro rings...Diamonds are supposed to run quieter when cold. I am running Manleys and piston slap is noticeable when cold.

:D I decided not to go all out, but, 10.1:1 CR, if FI later, it won't be a ton, left it 4.6 instead of stroking it, I have a shop here that's going to clean up the heads, new seals/seats, etc. Then I'll put my lil ole Naz intake on her...

It's just a clean up of the heads so it won't be too bad, no porting, etc. Brian (Fordnut) said gains vs. $ it wasn't the way to go. It's going to be nice to have the lower end forged now! She's got 128K on her, she's due!

What happend to the eaton you bought from ebay last week ? Will it be part of oyu new build ?

:D I won two. The first is for a 2000 Lightning (oops!). That's in great working condition, but, had grease and crap all over, clean and resell on ebay for a buck, the second is off an 03 Cobra with 14k (suppossedly) on it. That I will probably use at some point... Then I can sell Sean the NAZtake back if he wants it. :D

Well, the shortblock will be coming soon. It's being shipped to my guy's proshop. I've been driving my baby about twice a week taking it easy. No increase in bearing sounds which is good! After careful research and talking to my guy, the SB and heads are going to a machine shop that specializes in performance engines/parts. I've heard MMR may not line bore, etc. and just slaps stuff together. This shop will strip her apart and check everything. Looking at end of Feb time frame and I'll keep updating as it goes along.
