I went to a body shop the other day to take some pictures of my 65 Chevy to better sell it. When I got there the owner of the body shop was in his office with a customer. The customer said "How much you want for that Marauder?" "It's not for sale. As hard as times are, I'd rather go hungry than lose the car and I have." The owner of the shop said "Dominick, this man will give you $25,000 in 100's right now for that Marauder." I looked at the guy and he was dead serious.

"Why?" I asked. "I heard the way you pulled that car up, I heard how you drive it too. So what do you want for it?" "I love that car man, it's staying with me." The body shop owner said "Dominick he will give you $25,000 today. Plus you have money into the engine." I said "Man I'm not going to lie. The car is probably worth around $7,000. It has 151,000 miles on it and has been in three accidents. It's not worth anything. So why sell it?"

The guy later asked me if I wanted to race him in his trail Blazer SS. I said "Nope. I don't know where you are hiding the spray, plus you have AWD. I won't hook anyway." He said "This boy has a good poker face. I don't know where you are hiding you spray either." "I don't have any. I'm afriad of it, I've seen too many cars blow up and heard too many stories. I have boost, but no spray."

Later I took the guy for a ride. He was calm until I gave it WOT rolling from 15 to 80. Whaaaaaaooooo! :eek: "Show this car down!" "Fun hua?" "Now I know why you don't wanna sell this car!" When we got back the car just couldn't believe the car was that fast and still had nice seats, radio and room for everyone. He said "Damn, that mother can hook!" "Actaully it didn't, but thanks."

He asked if I ever street raced it and I said I was done. I have balanced out my winnings and losses.

Now he wants one and wants a fast one. I think he's going to get rid of that trail Blazer and find himself a Marauder. ;)

$25,000.00 for the car now? I would have absolutely entertained the offer and looked at other marauders that was S/C'ed w/lower miles. But I can understand where you're coming from. If someone had offered me $25,000.00 for BLUE, I would have a hard time parting with the car, but I would put it to some serious thought :D
