Check out CVN (www.crownvic.net) -- they have many wannabee cops over there.

Any lights behind the grill are going to make you look like a cop car. In California, they can cite you for that.

Another member cautioned me against mounting Hella 500s behind the grille. Blocking airflow to the radiator with lighting does seem to be a rather poor idea to me now. Thanks again to him for probably saving my engine.

just buy a slim LED light bar and put that on your roof and install all take downs in the front side and all red lights on the back side. you will have way more light output facing forward and wire the whole back side of the light bar for a brake light.

your better off installing HID's if you search on crownvic.net half of those guys have them installed. personally I thin they look goofey on cars, but they dont look bad on trucks. but here's the only one I could find. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/109/301446897_75ccdc2116.jpg and you can pretty much put any aftermarket offroad lamp behind there, if you look you will see a ledge like thing, which actualy has wires running through it if your going to drill it to mount lights make sure you pull those wires out first. but for actuall light output behind there it would be hardly noticable. I know it sounds whackerish but if you really want aftermarket offroad lights on your road trips I would consider one of those Go rino push bumpers the no cut version "should fit" and mount some good HID offroad lights to that. then take the whole thing off when your done your trip. I'm kind considering doing that If I drive to Vancouver next year but with HID headlamps the light output is pretty good.

i just need grill fog lights. Why do you need fog lights behind the grille when you have two already mounted from the factory?
