Just looked at my 60s in the living room, and they are EV1, so we must be EV6

they both fit but with one you need adapters and it looks like ass.

I'm 99% sure that Ford switched to all EV6 in 2003. And ya, the adapters do look like crap :(

Cut/splice probably wouldn't be too bad if done properly though...

Most of your bigger injectors are probably going to be EV1. Watch out for the impedence (sp?) too.

what does that mean?

Ford (and most ECU's/PCM's) require high impendance injectors. Some aftermarket controllers use low impendance. They get more common in bigger sizes (80ish lb/hr +)

If you use a low impendance injector it will eventually burn out the injector drivers inside the PCM and could also cause them to stick open and flood the cylinder.

There are "adaptors" and "drivers" (same deal) on the market to allow you to use low impendance injectors w/ a factory PCM (which is essentially a resistor pack).

Sorry I left out that I use adapters on my 42s and the 42s are the same as the 60s

Google search:

FRPP sells 60lb/hr EV6 injectors. Looks like 42lb/hr's are EV1 though.
