Exhaust ?

Trying to figure out the best sound an performance exhaust to buy. i want to do a full exhaust. What should i get?

They do make a top notch exhaust but they also fetch a high price. I would just buy the headers and find a good shop that does custom exhaust work. They should able to do the rest of the exhaust cheaper. You could find some sound clips online but there is nothing like hearing them in person. I would find some members local to your and have a listen to there combos to find what you like. For the intake the best is a supercharger:D, seriously though two main stream options JLT and K&N both are good but JLT is cheaper.

yeah i have a really good exhaust guy. thats a good idea to get the headers then have him do the rest. what mufflers would u say are the best? magnaflow? an yes a supercharger would be awesome but its my dads car an he aint ready for that yet haha. im his 19yr old son im a huge car/ drag racer fan. im workin on him he is slowly learnin. but he just bought this car an doesnt wanna do the s/c yet

kooks long tubes.
custom mid pipes with 1 set of non highflow cats
stock balance pipe
stock tubing to aero 2525 mufflers
stock tail pipes to 4 inch res delete tips.

every one ive met says its the loudest mm they have herd. i tend to agree :lol:

IMO its a lil too loud but i havent herd anyhting else i like yet so i guess ill leave it how it is.

i have an 1995 civic hatchback that i race. 862 FRONT WHEEL hp spining on dyno
9.53 @ 154 in 1/4 mile.
but i really love these Marauders

I like my magnaflows but your best bet is to find some cars local to you and see what you like

haha yes i understand.. im not just a full blown honda kid. i have a good taste for all around nice cars with drivers that dont act like they are the best. im still learning bout the marauders. seems like a good group of guys in this forum. but ur car sounds awesome bud. so full exhaust an intake are next for pops car what tune do u guys run to give her a lil more life

YES BIGG TURBO. full race turbo manifold an full race intake manifold big frount mount intercooler. right now using a manual tranny outta an acura integra with a 5th gr block off plate. but i think this season im going to switch to a dogbox trans

I like my magnaflows but your best bet is to find some cars local to you and see what you like

i have a few yes not trying to be an @$$ but not tryin to post any due to the fact that ive been running at my local track this past season tunin an this upcoming season i will be runnin all over such as imports vs domestics lol sorry i just dont want it really gettin out. an there was no need for 5th gr because i cross the line at 11k rpms in 4th gear. a dogbox tranny is pretty much an upgrade trannys for imports with diff gears an such

:eek: Its funny there was a bug out at Sacramento Raceway yesterday doing 6 high/7s in the 1/8th mile...LOL

My vote would be to do the SS works headers, Magnaflow Catted X Pipe into 14" or 18" Magnaflows.

I have a Lidio tune http://www.alternativeauto.com/prodserv/marauder_tune.html and I like it. He will only do basic tuning no mail order tunes.

Another option is Dennis Reinhart http://www.reinhartperformance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=12345&Product_Code=MM-SCTXCAL&Category_Code=9 I don't have any experance with his product.

Another is Zack be he has been banned but I'm sure some members can get you in contact with him, maybe ask ImpalaSlayer

I've been happy with my Edelbrock RPM mufflers, great sound and no drone. Now that my power and airflow is up there from the big Whipple, I'm thinking about changing them out for some Borla mufflers, they're supposedly just a little bit quieter. I'd like to keep my ride a little quieter these days, can't sneak up on my prey with so much exhaust noise!

Remove second set of cats + res delete tips = VERY nice!

Get Kooks headers and high flow cats. Keep the stock mufflers. It's a great setup and sound. Keep checking back here and you might find someone selling a used set of headers. Worked for me, but I haven't seen any since and it's been years.
