Will went the fastest the car as ever been this past Sat. and that was 136 and it was in 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile at to slow down due to traffic. The car still had motor to go and gear. No issue at that speed either. WOW !! :coolman:

Are you still running the 3.55 gears?

With the stock drive shaft you run the risk of destroying the output bearing on the back of the trans.
It's been done and I believe the pics were posted, not pretty.

I know on the P71 the drive shaft and the tail shaft are different, made to run at high speeds. Shouldn't the Marauder have that?

They are one and the same if I'm not mistaken. The driveline differences between a CVPI and a normal CV is the aluminum driveshaft and all the extra cooling devices (oil, trans, power steering, etc...). The MM shares the same aluminum driveshaft. Both vehicles stop at 119mph (some are slightly higher... 124 maybe). After that speed, the driveshaft starts to "whip" while it turns. Check out Dennis Reinhart's "Driveline Critical Speed" thread for further information on that.
Now for my actual reply to this post:
I just got my MMX shaft on yesterday... I took it out on the Garden State Parkway about two hours ago for a test spin to see about the vibations at speed. WOW. Smooth as glass. Prior to this run, I had the car up to about 115 tops. Today I did the stupidest thing ever and scared the crap out of myself in the process. I tripped the 140 mark on my speedo... even went past it a bit. Noone else was on the road, but I still don't have any excuses... that was dumb of me to do. BUT IT WAS A RUSH!!! WOW!!! That car moves out!!!

WOW, you are the man. I had a 911 up to 151 mph. It is crazy how fast everything comes up on you at that speed. Next time how about getting one of your buddies to clock you on the radar to see how fast this thing really goes?

Out of curiosity, with the speed limiter removed and a upgraded driveshaft, what really is the top speed of an otherwise stock Marauder? Has anyone tried it yet?

I've seen a few things, but not anything about REMOVING the speed limiter. Which I believe is the EEC (correct me if I'm wrong anyone) and you can get a computer chip to readjust it. All said and done, some people are running as much as 140. Somewhere I heard the number 150 thrown out, but I'm not sure if that's just with those two modifications.
