Suspension goodies are starting to roll in. Rear shocks arrived quick, OEM's from Ford- old ones went 100K and really weren't bad but when in Rome. Addco front and rear sway bars showed up yesterday. So we are waiting on the control arms and watts links from Sparta. We are getting a non-stock color and Tommy thought they might be ready next week. Aside from the front spring/shock set up am I missing anything? Haven't made up my mind about the Eibach set up.
We will be doing brakes/SS lines in the near future so I'm on that.
Any input would be appreciated.

Looks like your good to go with suspension upgrades. You may want to look into front end links. The new heavier sway bars put a added strain on them and since you're going to be doing all the suspension components, you may as well replace them anyways. The rear sway bar I believe comes with endlinks.

Thanks Paul. Do you recommend an aftermarket company or just "fresh" OEM's

Fresh OEMs. There is no suitable replacement.

Mr.Man;

You are doing all this because....................... .....??????

1. You want Ms. Denmark to have a well handling car to safely but quickly traverse the winding, twisting turns of your area of the planet?

2. You are driven to stimulate the flagging auto parts economy?

3. You need more items to add to Paula's signature block?

While your in the mood, have you thought of a drive shaft upgrade? Or a transmission rear bearing oiling kit? How about a head cooling kit?

Just suggesting.

Yea, no replacements for the OEM front links, bummer. I need new ones too. You'll love the control arms! The SS brakes lines are great. I'm still on OEM brakes, but then again I'm old and don't drive like a maniac very often :D My long tubes went out the window when the drunk took out our Passat last week :( Against other peoples advice here we may be owners of a pristine 02 Lincoln tomorrow. May be, :P

Just suggesting.Well Pat, I'm glad you asked him the $64,000 question. LOL! Suddenly, I'm noticing all sorts of large, strange packages being delivered to the house. It's a diabolical plot to take over my car. :help: And then what's next........maybe the universe!!!!! :D I'm hiding the keys.;)

Dont do eibach's unless you want a really bumpy rough ride... If you want to lower the front, just get new OEM springs or P71 springs and snip a coil off...

Otherwise no i think you got everything... I hope you got your sway bars from never enough auto, as they are by far the cheapest place to get them

Got them from NeverEnough, in fact had a coupon for 10% off, so they were even cheaper.

I've heard the Eibachs are firmer and I've heard they make the car spongier. Frankly I don't know what to do. Looked into Vogtland as the would be the right color but they have no listing. I think I'll send the an E-mail and see if they are interested in MM springs. Are the CV and Marquis springs much different?

I'm doing mods by theme here Jim. Remote start falls into convenience items.

How about these? Makes greasing the bushing, not the end links, easier.

Greaseable Sway Bar Bushings - Energy Suspensions (they fit the Addco sway bars)
Front – P/N 9.5165 or 9.5172
Rear – P/N 9.5161

How about front struts?

KYB – Front – P/N 551602
Rear – P/N 551603
Monroe – Front – P/N 553001 (Severe Service)
Rear – P/N5995 (Sensa Trac)

Other than the sway bar I'm still hemming and hawing about the front end. I wanted Koni's but no listing and I think I checked Bilstiens with same result.

Eibachs are stiffer, whoever said they make the car spongier either has never used them, or got eabaks, the chinese knockoff...

CV and marquis springs are much softer, so you wouldn't want to use those to chop a coil.

The stock springs aren't bad. We'll see how the work with the upgrades, maybe I'll just use some spring rubbers.:D

Depending how often he has his foot into it, it'll make the front end lighter.;)
