Has anybody experienced a no start condition with their Marauder after driving it to normal operating temperature. My '04 (260 miles on it) will not even crank after being driven for 10 miles and then shut off. All the lights come on and the compressor pressurizes the air suspension, but nothing happens in the engine bay when the key is turned. We have moved the transmission shift lever, tried the remote entry, latched the seat belt and numerous other things. After the car sits for several hours, it starts and runs fine. The phenomenon has happened twice to my wife and after the most recent incident, to me after we parked the car in the garage. The only positive side of this is at least it is reproducible. Tomorrow the Marauder is going back to the dealer to have this problem resolved.

Any thoughts, fellow Marauder owners?

The starter wiring harness could be touching the exhaust manifold which transfers heat to the starter solenoid, causing the no start condition. It will most likely be starter related.

Hmmmm...haven't heard of that one before. The Dealer should get you squared around though.

Don't forget to make a copy of Zack's comments here--he's more likely right than any dealer and you will need to shown them "IN PRINT" or they will not be able to fix it--- trust us here---they don't know---Tom...

Sure does sound starter related. The best place for this to happen is at the dealer. They should be able to isolate the problem and remedy the situation. Keep us posted. :( Good luck.

On the right inner fender well under the hood, there are 3 connectors, just behind the battery in plain view. The gray one with 1 yellow/light blue stripe wire is for the starter. I've had 1 MM and 1 GM recently where it was not fully mated and caused an intermittent no crank. Grab the connectors lightly and pull. If it comes apart with very little effort, it was only partially mated.

Zack,
You were pretty much right on. When my wife took the car to the dealer and shut it down, it would not start again. The diagnosis and repair was to replace the starter relay. They also checked the starter and the MLP sensor as well in diagnosis process. Thanks for your input.

Thanks also to the others who replied to this post. It is great to have a wealth of knowledge to draw from when you are at the mercy of the dealership for the repair.
