View Full Version : My Dents Are Gone

To my chagrin Silverback has accumulated dimples in his skin all over his body. I just put new "Shoes" on him and the dings were positively screaming to be removed prior to Louisville.

So digging through my business cards I found a Mr. Magic Dent contact.
A quick call, he was so excited to work on and see a supercharged Marauder, begged me to bring it by right then.

The man is amazing, he had all four of those dimples out in less time it take me to write this narrative, well almost.

I always thought this repair process involved sucking the dent out. Not so, with a long hook shaped metal tool, Eric accessed the back of the panel hosting the dent and "massage" it out. Gone in 60 seconds.

The beauty of this secession is that he dropped whatever he was working on, repaired my car and only charged me $50.00. He was so raptured by the Marauder, the sound, the engine, the gauges.

We talked for a while about cars and airplanes, turns out he's an amateur pilot.

God, I love this car.

Not a bad deal at all! I don't think there's a business around here that does that, especially not for the price you were able to get it...

Pat, when I saw your car I didn't notice any ding or dents.

It must be because the hood was up!

Interestingly enough, Eric works out of the back of his truck with just a few common tools and, of course, a bevy of specialized one's. He goes where ever there is business.

Car rental agencies are a big source of his revenue stream. Also, communities where hail damage has made a bad impression (pun intended). He doesn't require a shop just some shade (to better see the work area)

Might be an opportunity for a retired person needing additional income.

I know a guy that had a dent in his truck and one of those guys pulled up next to him and offered to fix it, so he paid him on the spot and had it done. Aparently, if they don't have work, they just look for cars w/ dents.
