Transmission maintenance question..

I just purchased an '04 DTR that has 58k and never had a transmission fluid flush or change. Any suggestions as to what would be best to do at this point? Cost is not a factor here but I am hearing conflicting thoughts and suggestions from different dealers. Some are saying drop pan and change filter only while others say no filter change is ever needed per Ford and just to do a flush only with the BG additive at the end. Any thoughts on what's the absolute best thing to do? Both maybe?

Flush and change, I get mine done every 20K.

If it's never been done, I'd drop the pan, change the filter and then flush.

Remember to use Mercron V fluid.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking that may be best at this point but thought I should confirm first. I think I'll drain, change filter, re-install pan and then do a full flush as a second step.
