welp my car is BACK in the shop AGAIN!!!...this will be the 1,2 i think 3rd time and i had my car SINCE JULY...last time i took her in i had a tranny overhaul and new TC installed at i think 59k miles. warranty covered it all i only paid 100$ deductable...:banana:...so i headed to The Red Brick Station for our CAM Meet and while im going through Bmore my car didnt seem like itself. then i happened to see my O/D Light is on ONCE AGAIN!!! it only would blink when i hit 2nd gear and go off in Overdrive. and i hear my fan on and you hear it winding down when you come to a stop in the front like its over heating. but temp gauge was normal. i called my brother and he thinks my barrings are bad in the tranny which has about AT MOST 4k miles on it. not only is it under warranty its under fords warranty because its overhaulled by them. i took it in the next bussiness day (monday) they've been backed up so have yet to hear bout my car but they will get a peice of my mind!!! yeah it sucks my car may be A LEMON :bigcry: but its my baby.lol...my brother also says throw a higher Stall in it since they most likely have to take my tranny down. im thinkin a 3k stall BUT i dont wanna do anything to void my warrranty since problems seem frequent...oh and i only have just over 64k miles...

ask ford about it .buy it from them and have them install then if im correct it will be under there warr. id look into that ...sir

Who did your tune? I had a DR tune that would make the O/D light blink due to too much line pressure.

Have them put an '04 converter in it, that shouldn't cause any warranty concerns.

mine is a 03 and my 2400 stall will only go to 2000k rpms and wants to budge. what rpms will a 04 2700 stall budge at?

breeze, you are confusiong flash stall vs footbrake stall. The 04 converter is not going to "stall" any higher

And you don't think you have a tune but I really think you do. You don't know what's been done to the car before you got it.

Hell, I'm tuned and running 14.52, and during an outing with a few other 'stock' Marauders, none of them could get into the 14's.

Even with a DR tune I was 14.25, without a tune there is no way I would have gotten anywhere near that time, I'd say maybe 14.5-14.7 range at most.

Not to get on your case breeze. Sorry to hear that the car is back in the shop. Hopefully they can get whatever the problem is figured out asap for you!

it was 30 degrees and a good prept track were everyone has there best times...at capital my best was 14.71 in 30 degrees too. when i get into a MM with a tune (TWIN for instance) i feel the difference right away. when i went to Daves (and he can put his input in) house he said the way it drove it didnt feel like it had a tune just the way it shifted at WOT and my belt made a squeek. now remember my tranny is rebuilt. tho Chris you did say u cant tell if it has a tune by driving. in july i will take it to get dyno'd just to see if it does a tune and get it tuned with zacks tune.

I'll give you a real easy example, I too ran 235/50-18 on the rear with a tune from a fellow member with just Flowmasters and K&N drop-in air filter and ran a 14.35 at Capitol on a low 40 degree Sunday. That's what leads me to believe your car has a tune. The best I could mustard out of a stock tune was 14.81.

Stock power is around 235-242rwhp and 245-252tq, with the weight of the car, sluggishness of the stock trans tune and 3.55 gears a time of 14.31 just doesn't compute with realistic track math. Like I said before I'm not trying to bust your balls or anything lol, just don't be surprised when you find out it has some sort of tune on it that's all. When you hit the dyno and the numbers come back in the stock range then I have no problem admitting I was wrong at all. :beer:

some little plastic in my tranny is the problem...will be finished hopfully 2maro and my front end was making noise turns out my left ball joints are bad.

You shouldn't call your whole car a lemon just because you have a tranny problem they didn't fix right. I doubt there are any Marauders out there that are lemons. Every mechanical device has problems from time to time........Even Lexus.

I sorta wish my tranny would go out. I have 107K miles and warranty runs out in Nov. 2010. But, no reason the tranny can't go another 100K. Just be sure to change fluid every 30K.

ahh just getting back to this thread.

i really couldnt make up my mind if Breeze's car had a tune or not. part of it seems like it does and parts dont. its very strange.
