I know most of you old-timers (to the car and the site) have seen this before, but I just ran across it while wasting my time on the web, and I thought some of the newbies would like to see it. Hell, I've seen it many times and still enjoy looking back at it. Besides, it's my car in the story, right down to the $35,045 sticker.

And I did not buy one new because I thought it was too expensive.
The salesman told me that for the extra $12K (36k - 24K for LS) the MM had a special engine and bumper covers. Did not know it was close to a $80K Mercedes in performance at half the price. Bought mine at 1-1/2 years old with 29K miles for $21,500. Thought I got a good deal.

Interesting article.
As a 1 time BMW owner, I've always felt that the Marauder drives alot like a really big heavy BMW.
German engineering is good, but it's nice to be able to buy a fuel filter at any auto parts store.

Thanks for the article and glad I bought the MM instead of the Mercedes.
