I need new headlights. I've seen the aftermarket ones for $83. Ford OEM ones are around $140. Anyone used the aftermarket ones? I wouldn't mind saving the money but don't want to put crap on my car.

I have a pair, it came with fracture cracks in it. It did not let moisture in and operated fine...But I got tired of looking at those fractures, and polished up my OEM ones. Those aftermarket one's work fine, if you don't mind the cosmetic issues.

I tried to polish up my old ones numerous times, but they still look like crapola. Sidelights, taillights are good though. Fog lights suck, though they are hard to see. Haven't found any aftermarket fogs. OEM's are only about $100, so I will get those. Anything facing the wind takes a beating...........

Aftermarket lighting fixtures are *****ola, they yellow and ^^ degrade in a short time.
I put new Ford headlamp housings on on "LIL SiS" four years ago, they still are clear and no degrading like the ones it came with.
With all the wrecks lately, they should be available used.

Where are you finding OEM headlights for $100.00???

The dealers around here are asking $200.00

I don't remember any cars with a glass 'lens', but I do remember the sealed beams that were glass.

Sealed beams were the round or square replaceable units but I remember seeing glass units were the bulb was what you replaced when it died.

Now the aftermarket lights are down to $72.18. HALF the price of OEM. Pretty tempting.

I bought headlights for my 03 Vic from Certifit a little over two years ago now. They look as good as they did the day I bought them. No yellowing, nothing. Only problem is I don't think they do any shipping. You have to be close enough to one of their stores to go in and pick them up. Check them out here. www.certifit.com (http://www.certifit.com) If you go in there, you pay the list price. So new aftermarket Marauder headlamps are $63.75 each

i got the after market i think they were Eagle eye brand. they were great until i replaced the bulbs. they came sealed from the factory so when i put the other ones in they seem to fog. i wish i could figure out a way to get the moisture out?-

As crazy as this sounds, some people have baked them in the oven, and it worked.

Drill 2 small holes at the bottom. Yes, it lets a little water in, but it gets in anyway. They WILL dry up between rains.

You had to get new lamps for your '04 MM four years ago? The car would only be maybe 2 years old! What gives Mr. Sinclair?:argue:

I bought oem headlights EXACTLY like the ones that my 300A 2003 Marauder came with from RockAuto. Back in march of last year. They came complete with lamps.

Well that was when I bought the LSE, they were all froggy.
The Marauder housings were replaced under warranty more than 5 years ago, for sweating inside.

I called Certifit in Chicago today. $59.95. "OK, I said, I'll take them. No, they are out of stock. Ok, so how long till they come in? Don't know. Well, I want to special order them. No, can't do that. Well, when will you get them? No idea."

What kind of operation are they running over there?
