I have one of the old style B&M pans that doesn't have the extra hole you have to put the plug in. It's black thermal dispersant coated. Looks sweet. Not going to post any more pictures of it. You gotta search...

So your time is so much more valuable than anyone elses... Somebody should either go take a picture and post it or do the search for you and show you where it is instead of you finding it yourself? There are pictures of several different pans posted on this site. Find them instead of starting a bunch of BS threads.

Hi Baw:
The Moroso aluminum oil pan fits (barely according to some), The Moroso steel pans do not. Neither do any of the Canton pans.
Check your 5.0 and Fast Ford Magazines for Vendors there and give them a call.
Dennis Reinhart also sells Art Carr deep pans. Give him a call @ 904-276-5003
Some have used the pan from an e-350 U-haul truck, but others have said not to waste your time.
Once in a great while someone from MM.net will sell one.... but don't hold your breath
I say FWIW save your money and just change your oil regularly unless your going to do some hard core drag racing all the time.
Use your hard earned money for other more productive go fast mods.
Sorry I don't have any pics...(don't know how to post them if I did)
The search function didn't work well for me either. I typed in "deep oil pan" and got everything but what I was looking for. However I am not computer literate so my thoughts don't count:beer:,
Hope this helps

I almost made a mistake. I can't sell you this oil pan. There was a vendor on this site that sold these and our rules prohibit a resale unless I'm a vendor too, I believe. I'm not, so sorry.
I didn't think about it till now, but I wouldn't feel right taking a sale from DR, even though he's no longer a vendor, he still sells this product.
Many of us still treat him as an active vendor.
However, You can purchase this exact one from DR:
WWW.ReinhartAutomotive.com (http://www.ReinhartAutomotive.com)
It is heavy duty construction and the price is competitive. $172.00 as advertised on his website.

I use these, and they work fine, espeacialy with the external sensor for a transmission guage.

I bought one of the cast aluminum ones thinking the additional fluid and cooling fins would let the trans run cooler......NOPE!!!!:shake:
It take a little longer to get up to temperature because of the additional fluid but that's it......I wish I had my old stock type pan with the drain in it back!!!:argue:
IMHO you could spend your money on more effective mods.....

Well Jack, more fluid capacity is better. The pan will not keep fluid cool its used to store it a fined pan will dissipate some temperature at high speeds.
A high flow transmission cooler will do much better, but the deep pan is a good add on I still have steel pans with the drain in them, the problem with them is putting a bung on the side of them for a trans temp guage, you can buy a adapter and install it in the line, but in my opinion the Aerforce guage which take the internal transmission temperature as a pid from the OBD2 is a more accurate reading than from the pan or transmission line this just my opinion.
Marauderjack
01-17-2010, 04:08 PM
I have a ScanGauge II that reads the trans temps just fine!!
If you drop the fluid and replenish 3-4 quarts at regular intervals or do the flush service, I think the extra capacity pans are a waste of money and a half gallon of fluid??

BTW, once again, the search function only appears after you register, so if you just lurk, then register, you may not notice it, because once you register, it just sort of suddenly is there and you might not see it after you register.
