No Option MM, How Common??

Just curious as I was looking at my 03's Window Sticker for something else it reminded me that my car had no options, just standard equipment. The only "option" was front license plate bracket, but that is because it is the law in Ohio to have a plate in front, no cost too.

So perhaps this has been checked before (sorry if it has), but given that these cars were a bit on the pricey side when new, were more "stripped cars" out there than usual??

So no features beyond what your 300A or 300B would have had standard.

only real options in 03 were the CD changer and maybe one other thing (maybe sun roof) can't really remember, so all the cars came set up basically the same way.

Yep, I thought that. But mine does not have heated seats either, which many have (300Bs).

My 300A has a CD changer and trunk organizer. It also has a spoiler, but that was added two years ago by the previous owner so I don't count it.

My '03 came with:
6 CD Changer
Heated Seats
I pulled the Trunk Organizer out of the DTR before it went to the salvage yard and put it in the DBP, so other than the factory spoiler, it's fully loaded as well.

Technically, it's not a "factory" spoiler since you couldn't order it on the car to be installed on the production line. It was a dealer installed item or you-install-it-yourself.

Jackets were free to the original purchaser of the car. I heard that there were some dealers who were not very up front with this info and managed to get the jackets in place of their customers. I don't think it was wide spread but I'm sure there were a few.

I heard the same thing. I had to ask for the order card after I purchased my DTR, dealer didn't offer the info up front, I found out from a couple of our CM guys down here.

I was fortunate enough to buy one of the "leftovers" a year or so ago. The right size (L) too. Have a friend at Ford who was able to get them. Proceeds went to the United Fund or some other worthy charity.

Mine is a stripped MM. Nothing. No heated seats, no spoiler, no CD changer, no sun roof, no trunk orginizer.

I have made a few tweeks since buying the car new, but off the show room floor it had nothing but the DTR color and flint interior.

That trunk organizer is retarded anyway. I thought it was neat when I first saw it. But then, nothing ever fits in the trunk with it in place so it always has to be folded up, then it just rattles around. I took it out and it will stay out forever.

Thanks guys. So it appears roughly less than 20% were no option cars. Probably not surprising as the majority would have been inventory ordered cars by the dealers.
