Just saw this on another board...man I can still hear this guys voice blasting thru the radio back in my childhood......

Yes I remember and now car dealers use the loud leadin every now and then in their ads...

That does bring back a lot of childhood memories...
I even convinced my parents to put "dragster wallpaper"* on my bedroom walls...how cool is that?

*the wallpaper showed various front engined dragsters smoking rubber and racing away from the tree.....no wonder I turned into a gearhead!

WOW, I never went to one of those shows but I always got hype hearing his voice. Loved how he said GRAVE DIGGER!!!...one day I'll take my son.

That track has been closed since 1984. I went over there and got the Marauder on it a few years ago. They now have telephone poles layed on the track to keep people from screwing around.

I remember hearing his voice too. I'll never forget it.

I wonder if he ever sang.
