Here is a very clean 01 Kenny Brown Panther that was done back in 2001, this car was state of the Art then with the small Magnuson SC, the car has all KB goodies Bilstien shocks Posi rear end Borla Mufflers with stock manifolds, upgraded sway bars, so we have removed the old S/C kit.

So we installed a Novi 1200 with A/A after cooler used the 42 pound injectors and used a HPX in a blow through configuration.

Well these will definatley help body flex and how, the car will handle at high speeds, we are also are adding the lower Marauder guage pod, with boost and oil pressure, and Pillar Aeroforce guage, wich I feel is the best guage going for the money and functionality, we also added a Dynotech 4" T5 6061 drive shaft. More to come.

Well Dave, why don't you IM, or email KB, I am sure he would be glad to explain it.

Pretty obvious it would cut down on flex and create rigidity...always a high performance want.

Not to mention safety...That part of the frame is the weakness of the modern panter cars, as far as accidents go.

kinda like an X frame.

Hey dennis, what is he doing with all of the old KB stuff?

Amazing that it has to be reiterated more than once, but the few well informed some times struggle to get there point across, as I have said this is the most informative site on the net.

Don't get snappy with someone over the internet when grammar continues to escape your finger tips. lol You needed to use their not there.

Use there when referring to a place, whether concrete ("over there by the building") or more abstract ("it must be difficult to live there").

Use their to indicate possession. It is a possessive adjective and indicates that a particular noun belongs to them.

Nice work on the car btw.

See what you said is right the internet can so easily misinterpreted my comment was not meant to be snappy, and if you have met me and spent time with me you would know that. And yes I am not a spelling expert but I do good work.

We are installing the power pipe and air box as we type.

I like the fog lights, and would like to know what kind they are. I'm trying not to look at the blower too closely, for fear the (SC) bug may get me again.

This is a very old inefficient roots blower it made about 5 PSI

Well the car turned out very well at 9 PSI it made 375 RWHP and just devastates the tires, tho owner watched all afternoon while we dialed it in. I will post the dyno sheet tomorrow.

He wanted 400, I have the A/F at 11.5 and about 14 degrees timing with race gas it could make more, LTH would help, but no one makes them for the older CV, the car is safe that is what is most important. He has 18 rims and tires with 3:73 he is now going to 4:10 this will help down low.

I did, and it was pity full, it made about 275 RWHP, as you can see below quite a bit of difference, the rich dip as shown was adjusted out the A/F is a perfect 11.5 now.

Wow that's sad when my NA is more than that. lol I bet the owner is thrilled now and feels like he has a brand new car.

Every one has their, opinion on S/C, at the time Kenny was doing this. Magnuson was just about it for a roots blower, for the money I would have put a S Trim on it, regardless Kenny Brown has made some awesome cars, and yes the owner is ecstatic, especially seeing the burn out, Steve just installed 4:10's it had 3:73 but with 18" wheels and tires that makes about a 3:55 so this will wake it up more give more bottom end.:burnout:

I dind't know there was a problem with the frame not being stiff enough??

The frame flex was a problem with panthers prior to 2003. These same stiffners might not have that great of an improvement on later cars.
IIRC, in 2003 Ford went to hydro forming the frame which stiffened it.

I don't think that the side impact would be improved much as these stiffners are not that large in size or in material thickness.

I drove a '02 KB P1 (P1 is without supercharger) last week. My car felt very sloppy by comparison.

Nice work Dennis on the conversion!
