My Marauder has a Grand Marquis VIN

Took over a month to get my certificate for my Marauder and it took a few follow-up calls. Lists it as Grand Marquis VIN with a V motor. What is up with that? the certificate matches the build data R. Pita gave me.

I did not realize I have a M75 in my VIN, 2MEHM75V13X663xxx for Grand Marquis rather than M79 for Marauder. Any one else heard of this??

Must be an '03. All '03's have the M75 designation. The M79 coding didn't come into effect until the '04 model year.

actually i belive only erly 03 were coded m75 the later 03 had m79 mine is m75 and my sequence # is under 2000

Nope. I had of the last 50 '03's built and it has M75 VIN coding.

My '03 has the M75 and was built 4SEP02. I have not gotten the cert yet, but VIN ends in 636XXX. Hope this helps.

As long as you got the "V" as your engine code you're good. Every 03 that i looked at has always had "M75" and every 04 is a "M79". On my Carfax it showed up as a 04 Grand Marquis/Marauder, kinda like my 96 Caprice Classic/Impala SS.

My 2003 300a #3158 is M75.
