Picking up an '04 tomorrow and would like to get a Ford ESP. What dealers in FL are selling them and do you know one in Miami-Dade. Looks like there is some issue with out of state dealers selling to FL residents. Thanks, Randy.

Any Ford L/M Dealer should be able to sell it to you.
But call them.... watch out for jacking the prices...

PM me. I have a phone number to someone who will sell you a policy. I should know. I bought one from him and would buy from him again.

Without naming names. Some dealers do not sell Ford ESPs and try to push the Fidelity ESP. Fidelity looks good but has too many angry folks on the Internet writing about ugly issues about having claims denied. Randy.

I only buy Ford extended policies. I know about Fidelity and other Mickey Mouse aftermarket warranty companies. I worked for a Ford dealer in the service dept for many years.
Besides, I got the number from another member here.

Would it happen to be the same guy you told me about? If so DO IT! He saved me almost a grand and i had to use it my first 300 miles (A/C comp seize) No questions asked, gave me a rental car, everything! Im very impressed with FORDs ESP, even the basecare. I have one on all my FORDs now. :)

Get the policy from where ever you like but for service if you can go alittle further north Pompano Lincoln Mercury on Federal Highway will take care of your car with white gloves. They do a walk around and a scratch check afterwards they will wash and dry your baby and you will be satisfied. The mechanics are top notch and look professional. I moved from South Florida will wait till i go home for my MM's service issues.

Good Morning Folks. Thanks for the input but just confirmed that ESP Warranties must be sold by dealers with FL Insurance licenses. So, I am back to the original question. Which dealers in Miami Dade do you recommend for an ESP. Yes, the dealer in Pompano is excellent. In fact, the service manager is selling his '04MM and it looked well take care of. Thanks, Randy.

Call Tipton Ford-Mercury at 888-675-8778 and ask for Ed Smith, he gives MM.net members really good deals.

Where did you get this info? ANY ford dealer can get you set up with a ESP. You may need to get your car fixed or serviced at a licenced florida ford dealer but you dont have to BUY the ESP through that same dealer. They attach the ESP to your VIN #, its all in a database, i dont think any certin state matters. Example: I bought mine through Ed Smith, his ford dealership is in like Mich or something, im in texas, the A/C comp went out, i limped it to the closest ford dealer, they ran my vin, and bam, it was covered.

Ed Smith told me today that he cannot sell Warranties in FL. My dealer who chose not to sell me the Ford ESPs can do this according to the Ford Warranty folks in Michigan. I also am told that if I do find a dealer who will sell them, that the lowest deductible is called "disappearing." Yes, if I take the car to the dealer who sold me the ESP, the deductible is $0. If I go to another Ford Dealer, the deductible is $100. Does this sound familiar to all of you or do I need to get lawyer to explain to me what is going on. Thanks, Randy.

For me all deductibles are $100. But you can get as much work done as long as its at that time, you dont have to pay-per-fix. For example: Transmission is slipping, has an axel leak, and the right rear window motor is out. If you take it in for it all at once its only $100

Perhaps new insurance laws took effect on 1/1/2010 ?

My 10 year 100,000mi warranty has a 50.00 deductible at any dealership, I think I got the platinum plan. It should'nt vary from dealer to dealer. Either way I think the ESP is worth it any way.
