Air only blowing through window defrost

Any thoughts as to why air will only blow through window defrost and floor? No matter what setting, temperature or fan speed I try, I can't get the air to blow through the main vents.

Thanks for the link. In my case, fan and A/C are fine. It's where the air is blowing that's the problem. Not sure if there is a vacuum hose that opens and closes a door from vents to defrost and floor.

Thanks for everyone's help. My mechanic friend stopped by and he had an assortment of o-rings. We replaced all four. Then, we discovered the fan control was dead. Picked one up at the local Ford dealer on his wholesale account. Everything is good as new.
