I have a 2003 Grand Marquis...H pipe/turbo mufflers/duel but still stock 2" all the way. want to hear it more but dont want crazy loud...and preferably no drone! I see alot of guys here running the Aero turbine 2525 was thinkin about those...or i was listening to some mustang clips w/ SLP loudmouth IIs. was trying to listen to clips of cars that dont have much done other than the mufflers(i.e. X pipes, cats deleted or headers ) thats all i plan on doing...leaving it 2" and just swapping out the mufflers...not necessarily looking for more performance...just want it to sound a little more EVIL! just the Classic 4.6 mustang throaty rumble!

I run a CV Sport, which has the same 2V 4.6L as in your GM---which has a different sound than the 4V in the MM.
A few years ago I decided to pump up the volume. I first chose Dynomax Super turbo mufflers, which gave a nice sound OUTSIDE the vehicle, but I found that once they loosened up they droned a bit INSIDE the cabin. Many say that these mufflers don't drone, but they definitely did in my case.
I then went to 18" (body) Magnaflows, and I have found they are great. Soft, deep burble on start-up; noticeable but not loud rumble under throttle; nice sound under WOT; almost can't hear it when at cruising speed, NO drone. Makes the car actually sound like it's got a V8!
Magnaflow all the way.
