My marauder, that is. It's finally paid-for. It's mine, now. 95K plus on the car, 35K plus on the Ford re-man engine.
I suspect trans work will be next - the perfect excuse for a PI converter.
I thought about a supercharger, but I think I'd rather spend the money putting a manual trans and warmed up 4.6 in my "beater" Crown Vic. and leaving the Marauder relatively stock. (just the 4.1 gears and tune)
(Yes, I know paying off a 7 year old car that I got used isn't anything to brag about, but, still......) I bought at the end of 2004, payments started in January, 2005.
OOPS, I didn't see I had changed to "shop talk." I thought I was still in "The lounge." My apologies.

Anything that gets paid for in full is a BIG deal, especially in this economy!
Congrats! (I owe 7K on mine and it has 107K miles.)

I'm not sure. It was bad when I bought the car, and the dealer exchanged it for a small cash outlay from me, so I didn't get any say in the matter. I think they got Ford to replace it under parts warranty, but they didn't pay any labor. The sales manager and I had some "pleasant negotiations" about it. The service manager arranged for the re-man engine, he was a good guy, but his mechanics were a bit careless.
I had to take it to Team Ford to get everything they messed up fixed. Fortunately, they are top notch and got it all squared away.
I found a great mechanic that's done everything else, since.
It's been an adventure, but I hope she's good to go for a few more miles.

feal - 1 dictionary result
Feal
Fe"al\, a. [OF. feal, feel, feeil, fedeil, F. fid[`e]le, L. fidelis faithful, fr. fides faith. See Faith.] Faithful; loyal. [Obs.] --Wright.
I guess it applies.

Cool! Can't wait to pay mine off.
Then, maybe I can afford to do some stuff to it.
Probably, as soom as I pay it off, the engine will explode!
Oops, probably just jinxed myself.

No, a little bit southeast of there.
I live in North Georgia, about halfway between Atlanta and Chattanooga.
