This is from Rick the event organizer of Carlisle himself.
The 03-04 Marauders will be put into a Stock/Modified class that WILL be parked next to each other on the showfield!!
HOWEVER,
We need a minimum of 17 Pre-registered cars by the cut off date of May 17th!!!!
If you are planning on going or even on the fence about going, please PRE-REGISTER by MAY17th!!!!
This gives the N/A guys and the S/C guys our own voting class and makes sure that we have parking for ALL our cars plus saves you $10!!!
PRE-REGISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have a Supercharger, you are in the "Modified" Class.
If you are Naturally Aspirated, You are in the "Stock" Class.
Be sure to select MERCURYMARAUDER.NET as your car club!!!!!!!!
We WILL all be parked together around our tent!

Im pushing the pre-registration because we even get a bigger tent when we get over 25 members pre-registered.
If you are planning to go, make sure you pre-register to get the bigger parking, 2 classes, and a bigger tent.

I race SCCA autox (STX class) in my modified WRX. I can't imagine the insanity (I mean that in a fun way) of autox in a 4,000 lb fire-breathing monster like the Marauder!! You would probably have to stop half-way to refuel. Hahaha. :banana2:

There are some members here and on cvn who race autocross their panther cars.

1/8 mile is where my car is most potent, but its too far to risk breaking something.

Just show the pre-registration and I can join the group then? Any scoop would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Glad you will be joining all of us at Carlisle! You got right on that, good for you!! When you get to the registration tent you will be directed to the Marauder class area on the show field to park right along with the rest of us. It's a good idea to bring a folding chair, a hat and maybe a cooler, and plan to have a great time with your fellow Marauder owners/MM.net members! Again :welcome:

I'm not worried about this event yet! KY had more snow on the ground this weekend, than we have in Northern Ohio! Good thing, Louisville is a week or two later this year. Hopefully the snow will be melted by then, or at least Haggis will have his driveway cleaned out by then! Then he can start on Carlisle!

I am still waiting for the guy's that I am supose to go with to get the head's out of their butt's before I do the registration.
The main one had to back out because his son is graduating from the Military accademy the same weekend.
The other one decieded to put sync into his 2006 mustang and has it torn apart waiting for parts and to have it programed.
So I am dead in the water cost wise for the hotel if they back out of it. The hotel rooms are reserved but I can not afford them alone so I do not want to register unless I know for sure I am good to go.
Plus this having to come up with money for the Damage to the Marauder isn't helping any!
I will post my registration as soon as I know what is up sorry for the delay people! :depress:

Having to sit on someone elses coat tails for it to happen I have to play things by ear and the seat of my pant's.
I should know sooner than May what is going on and if I am good to go.
It's tuff without a credit card now a day's and I refuse to get one so I will not end up back in serious debt problems again.
Nothing is set in stone right now with SSI nor the Hartford with keeping disability and I do not want to end up in the middle of a hornet's nest if I lose something.
So it make's it hard to plan ahead when you have to share the set up with someone else.

On the Carlisle website, there is a mail order form you can fill out and send a check or money order with if that makes it easier on you.

That isn't the issue and I am good to go there but I am strickly have the money or it's a no go.
That is why it took me more than a year to save up for the MoCat header system for my Marauder.
Kind of why I am in a panic about being able to pic her up from the shop after the repairs from the accident.
$250.00 deductable for what happend and because the FU on the trunk lid is being repaired as well and unrelated to the accident it will be an additional $250.00.
My end of month disability check will not cover what I have to pay for house bill's as well as the repair to the Marauder so kind of in the middle of a panic spot scrambling for cash.
And I am supose to start going for Jurry Duty @ the Federal Court house in New Haven on the 7th of April so I also have to figure out how to keep enough gas in her to get back and forth as well to do that.
And I do not have what I need to finish the rear end gear oil leak as well.
The other half works second shift so I can not use the Taurus to go back and forth to court.
Can we say F:censor: Me right now? :alone:

HAVE YOU RACED A FORD LATELY – SUNDAY AUTOCROSS
Hosted by the Susquehanna Region of the SCCA
The only thing better than a show-ready Ford is a show-ready Ford on the race track! The on-site Carlisle Autocross allows experienced drivers to put their driving skills to the test while also allowing beginners to learn more about the sport of autocross. Novice drivers will have the opportunity to learn from instructors and sharpen their skills with in-car instruction. Registration is required and will be available at the track Saturday from 10 AM till 3 PM and Sunday of event. The charge for each entry is $20.

TAKE IT TO THE TRACK – FRIDAY DRAG RACE 101
Rookies and Veterans, Tune Up Your Drag Racing Knowledge
Drag Racing 101 is a seminar, held on Friday, for those interested in taking a trip down the 1320 (in this case 660). Racing takes place at the 1/8 mile, NHRA sanctioned track of nearby Quarter Aces Drag-O-Way. Conducting the seminars will be a collection of drag racing’s most notable stars. They will teach the tricks of the trade that they have perfected over the years. It all starts on the Carlisle Events fairgrounds with a “chalkboard” explanation of terms, tricks and techniques required to have a good drag racing experience. Learning how to be competitive, for more experienced drivers, will be covered as well. Who knows, you may take home a trophy as the next drag racing star.

I wouldn't worry too much. Even after the pre-registration online ends, you can still register online. It will be $50 instead of $40 though. Last year I registered online one week before the show because I had friends that dropped out on me. I was registration number #18XXX or something like that and it didn't seem to make a difference.

26 Pre-registrations, thats good for the 2 class split but we need everyone to pre-register to save us enough parking area on the field.
Im holding off calling for area space til I get a confirmed head count total.
This is very very important, If you are on the fence about going or have it planned that you are attending, Please PRE-REGISTER. The parking is tight as it is and we to push our numbers to secure enough room for us.
If I have to PM everyone who is thinking about coming, I will. Its that important.

Ya, I have a Marauder & a Merkur... I just finished the (more or less) the Marauder last year the day Carlisle began & I am now working on the Merkur. However I don't expect to have the Merkur ready for Carlisle. Thus I plan to run the Marauder in the AutoCross...
We should get a poll / List of all the Marauder owners that want to run the AutoCross & see if we have enough interest to justify our own autocross Bracket. Even if its just an MM.net bracket.
It could be great fun....

CLUBS AND EVENTS
1968-2010 Cobra Jet Legends & Champions, Ford Racing Mustang Garage Highlight Some of the Many Attractions at the 2010 Carlisle Ford Nationals
As any true enthusiast knows, the annual Ford Nationals held in Carlisle, PA, on the first weekend in June each year is the quintessential Ford fan event of the summer. For the past 15 years, the "Ford Nats" have celebrated all that is Ford (and Lincoln-Mercury) with a litany of vehicle "invitationals," nameplate reunions and club gatherings featuring historically significant Fords and the people who helped to make them great. But thanks to a re-energized relationship with Ford in 2010, this year's show not only sports a new name and logo, but also a long list of attractions that you just have to see to believe! (http://www.adsmart360.net/Tracking/Url/Url.aspx?MId=7780&SId=5944793&UId=123133&TN=0&TNS=0) Tops on that list is the once-in-a-lifetime gathering of legendary Cobra Jet Mustang race cars and their drivers, past and present. Many of the greats from 1968 will be there, as well as Ford Racing's new 2008 and 2010 Cobra Jet race cars with a special walk-around presentation from their creator, Ford's own Brian Wolfe!
Plus, if your new Mustang will be among the acres of display cars on the Carlisle Fairgrounds for the show weekend, you can catch sweet performance upgrade deals right on-site at Ford Racing's "Mustang Garage." There'll be special show pricing on Ford Racing Power Upgrade Packs, Performance Mufflers, cold-air kits, strut-tower braces, short-throw shifters and more. All work will be done by trained technicians from Fred Beans Ford of Boyerstown, PA. For info or to schedule your own installation deal, contact Dave Rhoads (drhoads@fredbeans.com or 877-602-6992). For a previous show report on Carlisle, check out our story on www.FordPerformanceGroup.com (http://www.adsmart360.net/Tracking/Url/Url.aspx?MId=7780&SId=5944793&UId=123134&TN=0&TNS=0). And make plans now to attend the Carlisle Ford Nationals on June 4-6, 2010, so that you can experience the most comprehensive celebration of the Ford brand on the planet for yourself!

How or what do you guys do for getting your cars ready for the event once you get there?
I am just wondering what I should bring or plan for that way.

I get it ready before I go and then I'll only have to worry about touch ups on site. Bring along all your "cleaning supplies" such as tire shine, ICE, car wash, wash mitt, plenty of microfiber towels, California duster, etc. I keep my stuff in a plastic bucket for convenience. BTW - I also carry a 50 foot section of hose with a nozzle in the trunk just in case the weather doesn't cooperate like last year and it needs a good wash. Since most of the hotels remove the handles from their faucets, I picked up one of the universal 4-way faucet keys from Home Depot. Sometimes you need it .... sometimes you don't.
Last year, some of us were out back of the Hotel Carlisle washing our MMs about 11:00 PM because the weather didn't cooperate at all on Friday. Saturday and Sunday were great.

Yes, there are some touchless car washes. There is one on Route 11 just past the Pennsylvania Turnpike. However, remember that there are a couple thousand cars in the area all headed to the same show. Lines tend to get pretty long.

Yes, there is a wash pad for a couple cars at the show. Generally lots of competition for those spots too. Better to be prepared just in case.

By then I can wax the car again the paint will be well hardend and just use a lot of instant detailer to clean her up if I can't find a way of doing a wash.
Just not looking forward to several hundred miles of bug build up!

Gun metal gray Kenny Bell coupe and an Ice Blue GT convertable and I am not sure who else is going with us as well. Getting info out of these guys @ time is like trying to pull teeth out of a spy to get info. Dosn't always work.
Because I do not have a cell phone they bought walky talkies for us all to use for the trip. :D
It's in poor taste to show up another Ford product anyways seeing we are all going to a big Ford event.
