Hey everyone,
My name is Ross and I am new to this site. I recently bought a 2003 black MM with 42,000 miles on it and I'm very proud to own it. Im from south jersey, but currently go to college in central jersey (23 and plan on keeping this car for a while). Just wanted to see if any other MM.net owners lived nearby.
Also, I would like to know if anyone has put a 200 amp alternator in the MM or CV yet, and did it help with the lights flickering at night?
Thanks for the help.

Try out the search function, Brutha...
You'll find all that you are seeking there.
Welcome to the site, Ross! and Congratulations on your new purchase...

Thanks Local Boy i will try that. Im not sure if it because i have upgraded the system. i have a alpine deck with alpine type-s speakers in the front and jl audio speakers in the back with in mini alpine amp powering it all. I only notice the flickering with i have my lights on, maybe the a/c on, and im on the brakes, so obviously im running a lot of juice at those moments (and i notice on the volt gauge). Just wondering if anybody has upgraded to the higher end alternator.
Also, the only other mods i have done is K&N air intake, flowmaster series 40 mufflers, silverstar ultra 9007/h1/turn bulbs, and new orange corner bulbs.

Do you have UDP's (Under drive pullys)? That will strain your Alt. if you haven't raised your RPM's.
If no UDP's, try raising your (while in drive)RPM's...to @ 750 rpm's
Others have moved up to 200 amp Alt.
I would bet that you have reached the limit of your Alt.
Your stock volt gauge is not very accurate!
Good luck, Brutha...

There are quite a number of members from NJ. We are in Hunterdon Cty. Where are going to school? One of these years we'll get a NJ mini meet together.
Search function is laborious at times but there is a lot of info there. Patience is a virtue when using it. Good luck

No i haven't upgraded my underdrive pulley yet. I go to school at Rutgers in New Brunswick. Im kinda surprised I haven't seen more marauders or modded out panthers in the tri-state area. The only other marauder I have seen on the road was a black one that acknowledged me on i-495 on long island a few weeks back. And pretty much nobody at my school knows anything about these cars. Ive gotten a lot of compliments in the few weeks ive had the car, but others who drive by in their g37s, civics, and wrx's don't really notice me (unless they think im a cop lol).

Sure ill meet up with you irish, or anyone else in the nj area. I want to get to know my MM on a more personal level by looking at others in person (modded or not). That way i can keep it running in tip-top condition hopefully. I am a college student so time is something i don't have much of.

I hope you have an alarm!!! lol
Welcome to the site!
My lights also flicker, actually more like slightly pulsate, it's always done it since I bought the car 4+ yrs ago, have to look at the interior gauge lights real still and closely but you can see it, kinda annoying at stop lights lol.

lol come to think of it i completely forgot to mention that i put and alarm in it the 2nd day i had it. Viper w/o the remote start. I had an alarm system on my previous car which is why i didn't think anything of it when i mentioned my other mods.My street is not the best for parking parking rare and exotic vehicles but i will be moving to a gated community off campus for my last year. Thanks for all the suggestions and welcoming me.
