For my 5mph over. The room is full of no good doer's and we get called up one by one. After listening to the problem's of the 20 people before me, I thought, man and I was worried about my ticket?
There were people with their lawyer's their, DUI's were half of there problem, accident's running red light's, speeding to the tune of 25 and over, the fines and courts cost's these people are gonna pay is tremendous. And when the court get's done with them I'm sure the Insurance people will have a say.
Me, I got out of there with a 95 dollar fine and no points.
Oh it's been 29 years since Ive gotten a ticket, do you know the state gets more than 1/2 the take of the fine? What a money machine they have going their.
Oh, be careful out their on the road, their's all kinds of questionable driver's, and one may be in frt of you, in back, or on either side.

Here is something to think about: If everyone that received a speeding ticket requested a court date, than in about 6 months courts would become so back logged that it would no longer be a "cash cow" they would have to look into more judges, clerks', or expanding court houses.

All of these thing cost money.... If they have to spend it they would look for another way to "make money"!

Very simple idea....

Now if everyone did it..................:)

Before , i got activated i was with municipal pd i would not stop a vehicle untill it was traveling at least 11 mph over the posted limit. and more likely than not i would let it go with a warning.
( some officers have no class)

Dragging someone into court for 5 mph over does nothing for safety but creates a lot of cynicism over the meaning of "serve and protect". Like all professions, there are good ones and a few not-so-good ones.

At least you got no points. this happened to me on Telegraph. Wayne county sherrif gave me a break and said I could pay $100 and no points. I took that deal and ran.

No this happened a while ago. Trying to do the straight and narrow bit. I drive like a little old man now (A.J. Foyht).
