Car sounds like it is missing at cold startup for a minute or two then warms up to run fine any ideas??

It sounds like it's cold at start up, it should be fine after a few minutes.

lately is been about 30 in my garage and well under 20 outside. The first initial kick over is real ruff, revs to about 2000, then drops to about 1200, and SLOWLY makes its way down to idle. I'd just recommend giving it some time to idle before you leave when its real cold out. Its probably overkill but i don't like to put the car in gear for atleast a full minute. mine runs like ass too, if i just start up and go.

mine dont, every time i start is in a very cold or warm it always stay on idel. is it suppose to go 2000 then drop to idel???!

it's probably good that yours does that. I dont think it's good for an engine to rev to 2000RPM when it's freezing out.

With no load on your engine it won't hurt a thing!!!:beer:

Mine's been "flaring" like that for over 6 years and almost 211K miles and it still runs fine and burns zero oil!!:bows:

I think the 1800 RPM "flare" is programmed into the PCM to push oil throughout the engine quickly!!:cool:

BTW, I start mine and drive of immediately with no issues but I only see 20* temps a few times a year??:D

Thanks for the input guys,I cleaned the IAC valve and it seems like that might have helped the problem.

Look guys I have not started my Marauder in 4 months. Been on battery tender. Going to plug it in {BLOCK HEATER} for 4 hours tomorrow & start the beast up when my 2 nephews come over for a beer tomorrow.Can't wait to hear the THUNDER. It's been in my garage since OCT1 for winter storage.Just think... only 3 more months before winter is over & I can take my girl for a spin....That's what you get for living in the great white north.
